TNLT (TNetLogTrim) Version 1.0 06/27/92
FreeWare by: Cam DeBuck
1.0 Initial Release
PURPOSE
The purpose of TNLT is to trim old entries from and reduce the
size of the TNET.Log file. The one assumption that this program
makes is that your TNET.LOG file is in date order, it simply
starts saving the new file once it has found the search date.
The program bases the search date on your system DOS date.
The default is to keep the last 7 days of the TNET log file.
(TNETBULL utilizes the last 4 days)
INSTALLATION
Place TNLT.EXE in a directory that is accessable thru your DOS
PATH. It may be run from the DOS prompt or be placed in a batch
file. The program ONLY looks in the current directory for a
Tnet.Log file so the program must be executed from a directory
that contains the file.
To trim the tnet log file, the command line is:
TNLT (defaults to 7 days) or TNLT 15 (Keep the last 15 days)
Valid values for days to keep are 1 to 30, if you specify a
value greater than 30 the program will exit with a gentle error
message. If you specify more days to keep than you have in the
original log then the program will scan the log and exit with a
nothing to do!
